In this lecture-performance, artist, curator and activist Natasa Mackuljak draws connection between women’s anti-fascist resistance during World War II and contemporary feminist discourse in the region of the former Yugoslavia. Mackuljak’s narrative exploits historical events and her personal ancestral and feminist background. By combining performance, personal narrative as testimony and pedagogical education, Mackuljak makes an anti-fascist and feminist intervention in an Austrian art institution and turns the audience into her accomplices.
