Monster Chetwynd (b. 1973, London) is one of the most unconventional voices in contemporary art. Her practice spans from performance, sculpture, painting, installation, and video. Her large-scale installations incorporate elements of folk theatre, street spectacle, literature, and a multitude of other genres.  In her world, performance, sculpture, installation, and costume merge into a total work of art that draws equally on antiquity, pop culture, and B-movies as well as on the subversive practices of the 1960s.
